The past karma of Venerable Maudgalyan being smashed into minced meat by someone

We know that there were many people with the same name in ancient India, called "Maudgalyan". In order to distinguish between the disciples of Buddha and those who later became Maudgalyan, Buddha's disciple Maudgalyan was called "Great Maudgalyan Venerable".
According to classical records, Venerable Mahaprajnaparamita died from being smashed into minced meat by jealous heretics with raindrops of stones. Although among the disciples of the Buddha, Venerable Mahaprajnaparamita was the most divine, he was also the one who died the most tragically.
According to legend, Venerable Damu Jianlian had the highest divine power among all his disciples. He often used his divine power to promote Buddhism and made great contributions to the cause of Buddhist propagation. However, he was also envied by outsiders who were determined to kill Venerable Damu Jianlian.
Once, Venerable Damu Jianlian passed by Lishan and an outsider who wanted to assassinate him had already laid an ambush on Lishan. When they saw Venerable Damu Jianlian, these people pushed countless large stones down the cliff. In an instant, the stones rained down like raindrops, and Venerable Damu Jianlian was smashed into minced meat. Although the physical body of Venerable Da Mu Jianlian has been smashed into minced meat, these outsiders dare not approach the place where he died. They are always afraid of his divine powers.
When the news of the physical death of Venerable Mahasthamaprapta came, the Buddhist disciples felt very sad, and at the same time, they were also puzzled as to why Venerable Mahasthamaprapta, who had the divine power to reach the heavens, could not avoid attacks from the outside world? They went to ask the Buddha, and after hearing this, the Buddha calmly explained:
Everything in the world has karma. It is true, and Buddha and Bodhisattva Pizhi Arohan cannot escape. Although Venerable Damu Jianlian possesses divine power, he cannot escape the retribution of cause and effect. In his past life, Venerable Damu Jianlian was a skilled fisherman who made a living by fishing. Many fish and shrimp died because of him, and as a result, Venerable Damu Jianlian created too many killing trades that must be settled by these masters. You should remember that karma is very strong, and the divine power is not equal to that. Life and death are impermanent. So is Buddha and Bodhisattva Pizhi Arhat.
From the Buddha's explanation, we can understand that although the great Mahatma Mahayana Venerable has the supernatural power, because of his heavy killing in previous lives, he was killed by outsiders in this life, and even his body was smashed into meat sauce. All this is retribution, and the great Mahatma Mahayana Venerable as a Arhat cannot escape.
In fact, I, Shengzhong, understood this truth a long time ago. At that time, I even gave an example to illustrate the second ancestor of Chinese Zen Buddhism, Huike. According to records, the second ancestor, Master Huike, was framed by a villain at the age of 100 and ultimately committed suicide by jumping off a building, leaving behind a small poem:
The Four Great Primitives Without Me,
The five aggregates were originally empty.
Turn your head to the blade,
Like chopping a spring breeze.
Although Master Huike, the second ancestor of Zen Buddhism, is considered a great master, he still had to overcome his karmic obstacles in his past life at the age of 100. This is the terrible power of karma. Nobody can escape in this world, nor can the god Buddha and Bodhisattva Pizhi Arohan escape. Even Sakyamuni Buddha himself had to eat pure poisonous mushrooms because of karma, and finally died after three months. In fact, Shakyamuni Buddha knew that pure mushrooms were poisonous, but he was well aware of karma and karmic obstacles that needed to be resolved. Therefore, knowing that mushrooms were poisonous, he calmly ate them.
As practitioners of Buddhism, we must understand the concept of karma and believe in it. We should pay attention to the cause and not wait until the result arrives to think about avoiding it. By then, it will be too late.
